Celebrate National Older
Adult Month
For the past several decades May has been
designated as Older Adult Month. This is the time of the year that the
nation turns to its seniors and celebrates the many ways lives and
communities have been enriched by the contributions and achievements of
older adults. During this month we all take extra time and attention to
honor our senior citizens and to learn from their experiences.
Above all, respect and honor the Older Adult for being the person they are. Look into their heart and soul and see that person in a whole new way or in the way you used to see them. Be thankful that we have a nation that has been blessed by our seniors. These individuals have sacrificed, been our leaders, been an example to the upcoming generations and are widely known and used for their wisdom. So, remember on that day that you are with your loved one to tell them thanks for all they have done for you. Remember to do this not only in May but throughout the whole year!
